Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) extends time for bids for the Re-development of various Market and other mixed-use facilities within the Accra Metropolis

The Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) is engaged in the development of Modern Public Markets and other Infrastructure projects, and as part of this endeavor, the Assembly has decided to undertake development and operation & maintenance of 5 No. Modern Public Market Projects and 2 No. Mixed-Use Infrastructure Projects (the “Project”) through Public-Private Partnership (the “PPP”) on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis and has therefore decided to carry out the building process for selection of a private entity as the bidder to whom the Project may be Awarded.

The AMA has now extended time for submission of bids from Monday 19TH SEPTEMBER 2016 to TUESDAY 11th OCTOBER, 2016.

CONSULTANCY SERVICES - FIRM SELECTION

NAME OF PROJECT: eTRANSFORM GHANA PROJECT
ASSIGNMENT TITLE: REVIEW AND UPGRADE REQUIREMENTS OF GOVERNMENT ONLINE SERVICES PORTAL AND Epayment 

The Government of the Republic of Ghana has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the eTransform Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the procurement of consulting services.  The Consultant will be required to:
review the operational, technical, financial and legal activities of the Government Online Services Portal and the e-Payment Portal including determining level of adoption by the public and Government organizations operating the platforms, and recommend enhancements and improvements to be considered for eServices platform upgrade, develop a work plan for eServices deployments within government and develop technical specifications for eServices upgrade bidding document as part of the Government digital services program for public service delivery

The Ministry of Communications now invites eligible consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing services for this project.

MINISTRY OF POWER - GHANA ENERGY DEVELOPMENT AND ACCESS PROJECT

The Ghana Energy Development and Access Project is a major multi-donors initiative being implemented by the Ministry of Power with the objective to improve efficiency in the power distribution system, increase access to electricity by the population and thus help transition Ghana to a low-carbon economy through the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The Ministry of Power through GEDAP intends to recruit a Consultant to assess the impact of the Business Development Support Fund (“BDSF”) on the businesses of the beneficiary companies.

This Consultant’s roles include identifying gaps in the pilot BDSF model and recommend strategies to address and improve upon them, assessing the institutional and human capacities and overall performance of the 12 Renewable Energy Businesses post BDSE, identifying new opportunities for consideration and the level of interest/willingness to scale up the BDSF project; and assessing the capacity need in the beneficiary companies for the successful implementation of the BDSF scale-up.

The objective of the assessment is to determine the impact of the BDSF projects to provide inputs into the development of a possible second phase of the BDSF project.

The Government of the Republic of Ghana has received financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of Ghana Institutional Support Project and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for procurement of consultancy service for the Parliamentary Service of Ghana under the Ghana Institutional Support Project for the establishment of a Scrutiny Office within the Parliament of Ghana. It has become necessary for Parliament to establish a Scrutiny Office to provide high quality research that is independent of the Executive in order to assist the Leadership and Committees of the House. The Scrutiny Office will engage in providing services for the conduct of independent expert analyses of policy measures, including the scrutiny of international loan agreements introduced in the House.
