The Ghana Statistical Service has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Ghana Statistical Development Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for consulting services of a consultant to review data- compilation procedures and processes documentation.
The Ghana Statistical Service invites eligible individuals to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services

The Ghana Statistical Service has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Ghana Statistical Development Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for consulting services of a consultant to review data- compilation procedures and processes documentation.

The Ghana Statistical Service now invites eligible individuals ("Consultants") to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: The consultant for the assignment is expected to have the following desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Statistics, Economics and other related disciplines;
  • At least 10 years' experience working in a statistics environment;
  • At least 10 years' relevant experience in a similar assignment;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in delivery of training;
  • Working knowledge in computer and Microsoft tools.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers January 2011, revised July 2014 ("Consultant Guidelines"), setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant Selection method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
